2019-js

DO!Hack 2019.js was the first DO!Hack event with some limitations in the technologies the attendees could use. At first we thought it might decrease the attendees creativity but in the final projects we couldn't find any of that. We had some awesome projects, for example a Jump 'n' Run game which creates obstacles by the rhythm of a given song or a extended search for Spotify enabling the use of sql statements to find a song.

Also we had a great cooperation with PottJS. During DO!Hack we had a PottJS meetup open for everyone including some really awesome talks about CSS, Redux, PWAs and Javascipt Promises.

With DO!Hack 2019 Smart City we tried to focus our events hacking power towards the future of living and working in cities. During the event the teams worked on some really great projects which can have a great impact on all our lives.

One of these projects is SmartMobility. SmartMobility combines information on Circ's e-Scooters with public transport routing information to improve path finding using public transportation.

StayFresh analyses the air in your rooms to help increase the air quality. With a better air quality comes a better living quality.

DO!Hack 2018 had some great projects, too. In our opinion, winning projects were Spotify Audiobook Tracker, MagnetJump and EliteMemer.

Spotify Audiobook Tracker allows you to keep track on your audiobooks on spotify, even if you switch to playing music and spotify loses track of you progress in the audiobook playlist. To continue listening to the audiobook you can use Spotify Audiobook Tracke's Web-Application and just click on the audio book you want to continue.

MagnetJump is a collaborative game where you and your team mate have magnetised vehicles to help each other over different obstacles across different levels. This game is implemented only using JavaFX.

EliteMemer is a dating plattform matching people using their sense for humor. You get to know new people who have a similiar taste in memes.

2016

DO!Hack 2016 was the first DO!Hack hackathon. After having a great time at JacobsHack! 2016 in Bremen we decided to bring hackathons to Dortmund. Allthough not many knew what a hackathon exactly was, more than 60 exited hackers came together and created awesome projects.

One of these projets was eventmap. eventmap shows all events around you and you can filter them by the distance and the event category.
